What color outfits outfit should I where with my different colors of sunglasses?
Q. I have some Ray-Ban sunglasses ($100 each). It's the same sunglasses, but I bought three different colors (black, white, and brown.) There problem is I don't know what color outfit to go with what pair of sunglasses. Could someone tell me which colors go best with black, which color go best with white, etc.?

A. Black sunglasses go with everything and anything. White sunglasses can be worn with black, bold colors like red but are more casual. Brown glasses can be worn with denim, and basic colors. Or you can wear them with anything (depending on who you are) Have a look at this site:

A. Try: Purple and Blue - bold on both can look versatile. Purple and Brown - I think this creates a softer, more "antique-y" look... (think lavender and brown)...

What do color-blind people see in place of colors which look alike to them?
Q. I am green-and-brown color-blind. When people ask me what I see in place of green and brown, I don't know what to tell them. People with normal color vision can't describe the colors they see and I can't describe the colors I see. So I don't know whether I see both colors as green, both colors as brown, or both colors as a color which is unknown to people of normal color vision. Has science come up with an answer for this?

A. I LOVE your question! Both my brother and father were green - brown color blind. But I have a son that has a variation including red. Until I worried so badly about my little boy being "vision impaired" the question didn't come much to mind! A not-so-honest doctor diagnosed my son as TOTALLY color blind at age THREE. That was a blow to me to say the least. But I took him to a specialist that said he was "too young" to be even tested correctly. He did some tests and DID say he had some problem with "red." I don't think he was ever tested again. WHY? Because I decided that making an "issue" of it was "not fair to him." He either WAS or he WASN'T but one thing for sure, he was born that way so what he saw he "accepted" and didn't MISS… [cont.]

What colors would look good in a bedroom for these different bed sets?
Q. My boyfriend and I just bought our first house together and we are working on picking out paint. But we are both a little clueless on color coordination. Our sons room was easy but we would like to have something nice in our room and our guest room. I want to match or coordinate the wall colors with the bed sets. The guest room has a chocolate and gold bed set and the master room we switch between a red/gold set and a blue/brown set. Any ideas for wall colors are greatly appreciated.

A. I would suggest a gold color on your master bedroom walls. Obviously, you have a great sense of color and coordination. Let your wall color recede and pull red into the bedspread/floor/pillows. If you can find accent pillows which incorporates a touch of blue, it would be stunning.

A. You absolutely want to make sure the kitchen coordinates with areas in your home that are open to it. Most commonly, those are family room and dining room. Failing to do so results in one of the top three remodeling mistakes people make! What are some good colors for a watercolor palette?
Q. I'm planning to buy a watercolor palette with about 24 slots for a friend's b-day. And I was wondering what kinds of colors I should get. I'm a little color blind, but I just know that the colors should be from the color wheel. Thank you for your help

A. If I were to get watercolor paints as a gift, I would prefer a gift card so I could pick my own. A palette of paint colors is a personal choice and no one would know, unless they asked, which pigment choices I use. There are nearly 100 different W&N watercolors, with multiple primary choices. If he knows you plan to get him the paints, ask which colors he needs. That would be better than getting paints he would not use. By the way that is generous of you to give that to him. The W&N paints are world class and they are priced that way. The discounted prices range from $11 to $17.50 each US.

What paint colors would go good with a toasted coconut (a neutral beige) and maroon red?
Q. The living room and dining area is painted these two colors. There are two other rooms (kitchen and a 2nd dining room) that are open to these rooms and attach to the hallway. Do you have other colors in your upholsetery in the living room, like a green or something? What colors go with dark hardwood floors without making the room look small and claustrophobic?
Q. We have a large entryway between the dining room and living room and the dining room has two red walls which we like. Any suggestions on what colors would go well with vibrant red walls (in dining room) and dark floors (throughout) without making the room look smaller? I would like colors that will not clash with red.

What colors would look good in a bedroom with pink walls?
Q. I just painted my bedroom a pastel pink. I was just wondering what colors I should add into my room. I am buying literally everything new for my room! So here's a rough list of things i need! Curtains bedding light or dark wood ( for dressers/headboard) accessories You don't have to go into a lot of detail or complete the list if you don't want to, just give me a couple of colors you think would look good! Thank you so much!

A. With a color like that, you should add in a rich color, like a deep brown or cherry oak something like that. It would give it a wow factor.
