Here is the link to the text of that story Asked by khalaf q - Fri Jan 4 08:48:32 2008 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments A. The theme is in the title - regret. The woman in the story has lived a lonely life, and she thought she was happy with the life she had. Then, these four rambuctious children were thrown into her care - literally- and she began to truly live. For the first time she began to realize all the joys and sadness that life brings. Then when the joy in her life is taken away she realizes how empty her life is, and that is what brings the theme of regret - regret that she didn't live life to its fullest, regret that she didn't want that priceless joy in her life, and regret that she was too old to try and find it. Hope this helped:-) Answered by Mom - Fri Jan 4 14:06:05 2008 Does anyone know about the poem 'The Laboratory' by Robert Browning? Q. i need to write bout the methods he used for this poem or techniques here is a link to the poem >> can anyone find a methaphor that links to anger in this poem plz help 10 points to best answer :) Asked by Hayley - Thu Nov 6 16:20:24 2008 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments A. The 'mask' is metaphorical and literal. The narrator is hiding beind a mask. 'Devils Smity'- heat, passion, destruction. 'laugh at me'- jealousy. Lots of alliteration - 'grind, mash'. The violent language reflects the narrators state of mind. She will give all her money for the poison, greed and corruption. 'You may kiss me' - she has lost her morals, she descends into madness. 'brush this dust off' - guilt, the literal dust and also the possibility of being caught. Answered by Dan _ - Thu Nov 6 16:25:39 2008 Writing a Poem For English- Need Some Help?
Q. I have to write a poem under the following criteria, it just so happens that it's the same style that Walt Whitman wrote "The Artilleryman's Vision." The above is a link. The next morning when my grandmother woke me for school, I wasn t feeling well, but I decided to get up and see how I felt. I went into the bathroom to brush my teeth, and I fell backwards.
